Duties:
Full time, program based licensed psychologist providing individual and comprehensive therapeutic services to youth in the care of Legacy Treatment Services. Will establish developmentally appropriate goals based on evaluations and observations, as well as work with the multidisciplinary team to assist in providing strategies to develop a comprehensive treatment and discharge plan. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Responsible for a caseload of approximately 15 adolescents and young adults with special needs, including autism and other developmental delays or disorders. Provide evaluation of the youth’s psychological and developmental needs. Devise strategies for improving the welfare and functioning of youth as it pertains to everyday life, education, and interaction with peers, family, and milieu. Collaboration with team members for enhancement of youth’s developmental and psychological success, and in development of behavior modification plans. Record and report the youth’s progress in treatment and update goals based on progression. Provide training and support to integral team members by providing evidence and research based strategies and interventions to assist youth in growing and accomplishing their long and short term objectives. Instruct members of the multidisciplinary team in methods of assisting the youth in maintaining and improving youth’s behavioral issues. Prepare monthly reports to be shared with members of the multidisciplinary team. Communicate, orally and in writing, in a positive, effective manner with youth, family, and all internal and external providers. Participate in in-service, conferences, and staff meetings as required. Maintain adequate clinical and progress notes and submit all required paperwork according to assigned deadlines. All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education/Experience:
Doctoral Degree (PhD) in Psychology with a minimum of ten years of experience with I/DD youth. New Jersey State licensure in Psychology. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology, Clinical Fellowships not accepted.

Full Time; must be available days and/or evenings.
