Duties:
Coordinates all personnel-related matters concerning the Agency’s recruiting of qualified Applicants and onboarding to vacant positions. Individual must maintain confidentiality of all subject matter as appropriate. Oversight of Agency Recruiting efforts and Onboarding process. Knowledgeable of Agency positions and position/departmental requirements such as trainings, licenses and credentialing information. Consults with Agency management routinely on current or anticipated hiring needs. Drafts, edits and announces external job postings/advertisements. Identifies alternate sources for external posting exposure and initiates partnership. Receives Agency Letters of Interest from internal postings to review and determines appropriateness for consideration. Mines external resources for qualified Candidates that fit the needs of Agency open positions. Prompts hiring Managers and assists in compiling information to develop, as well as maintain, position/department Interview Scenarios to assist in screening candidates. Prescreens Candidates for qualifications, experience and appropriateness for open positions. Communicates with hiring management on Candidates identified and interviews conducted to determine, and if necessary, schedules next steps. Assists identified candidates through the onboarding process to make sure process occurs in a timely manner. Provides follow-up on all outstanding documentation to ensure that information for requirements and Personnel Files is received timely, accurate and up-to-date. Identifies, registers for and attends job fairs to maintain representation in the community and obtain talent. Coordinates additional Agency representation when needed. Strategic development, scheduling and delivery of Agency hosted Job Fairs at regular intervals of time, more often when needed. Coordinates Intern, Volunteer, Staffing Agency candidate initiation and compliance. Ensures Affirmative Action maintenance/compliance. Develops yearly schedule of Agency Orientation in conjunction with other Agency participating departments. Creates HR Department delivery schedule for Agency Orientation. Oversees New Employee Orientation, including making and implementing suggestions for improvement. Oversees process of adding new hires to HRIS system, monitors accuracy and correspondence with Payroll vendor when necessary to address issues.
Ensures indexing of new hire documentation is completed in required timeframes. Responsible for compiling statistical information related to recruiting and retention. Ensures trainings take place to educate and reinforce processes related to the screening and hiring process. Assists in maintaining agency HR Policies and Procedures, job descriptions, job competencies. Compiles and analyzes statistical data to identify trends in recruiting efforts. Analysis of any statistical reports provided by posting vendors to identify trends/identify areas of opportunity. Conduct audits, at least quarterly, to ensure department compliance and consistency. Collaborates with Vice President and Director on reporting any feedback from terminations to assess and initiate efforts to potentially reduce turnover. Responsible for scanning and indexing documentation for various HR files to be maintained in database. HR database maintenance. Assists in maintaining, educating and applying Agency HR Policies. Assists Applicants and New Hires with various HR related requests. Assists Vice President of Human Resources as needed.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in HR or Business Administration with at least 5 years’ experience in HR/recruiting. Supervisory experience required. Possesses mathematical aptitude and have strong verbal & written communication skills. Must be detail oriented, extremely accurate, able to follow up with ongoing projects and meet deadlines. Strong inter-personal relationship skills and problem-solving skills are required.
Hours:
Full Time; Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., additional hours as needed
