Legacy and Community Treatment Solutions staff were excited to participate in Dare to Wear Orange Day recently, in support of Board member Michel Merkx of ABI Tape-American Biltrite!
Each year, Michel donates $5 to a selected charity for each ABI Tape employee, friend and colleague who wears orange on the same day. The choice of color comes from his birth country, the Netherlands, of which the prevalent color stems from the royal family’s name: The Family of Nassau, House of Orange. On April 27th, the Dutch celebrate the birthday of their King Willem Alexander van Oranje Nassau, when many people dress in orange.
Thanks to much participation, Michel donated $2,430 to the Parkinson’s Foundation this year, in memory of his mother and for all who are affected by the disease.
Thanks again to everyone at Legacy/CTS who dared to wear orange!
