Hannah has faced more than her share of challenges—grief, bullying, heartbreak, stress, anxiety, and depression. But with the support of Legacy Treatment Services’ outpatient services, she has made incredible progress in improving her mental health and well-being.
“Bullying has always been a struggle for me, leading to feelings of shame about my appearance and sexual identity,” Hannah shared. “It was an incredibly difficult and lonely period in my life. But through the support of Legacy and my therapist, I’ve been able to cultivate confidence in myself and embrace who I am.”
Recognizing the need for help was a turning point for Hannah. “I took the risk, stepped up, and acknowledged that I needed help. I’ve had so much struggle and so much hardship, but I’ve always had the support of my therapist and Legacy,” she explained.
With dedication and unwavering support, Hannah reached a significant milestone: “I’ve seen some dark days, but thanks to my therapist, I am officially over 250 days clean of self-harm and suicidal ideation.”
Hannah is also deeply grateful for the love and support she’s received from her family, including her brother and grandparents. “For the people who need to hear it most, it does get better. You are worthy of love, you are worthy of life, and you are worthy of forgiveness,” she said. “The first step is getting the help you need.”
Hannah’s story is a powerful testament to the life-changing impact of Legacy’s Outpatient Services, inspiring others to seek the support they need to heal.
