Out-of-Home Care
Legacy offers out-of-home care in a variety of settings throughout N.J., with a goal of reunification whenever possible as well as learning new coping and life skills. These programs include therapeutic foster care and residential programs and provide trauma-informed treatment, case management and family interventions and education. We specialize in working with youth who have complex needs as a result of abuse, neglect, addictions and mental illness as well as youth who are victims of human trafficking and are aging out of care.
Therapeutic Foster Care and Reunification Services
Sometimes children are unable to live at home or have been removed due to abuse and neglect issues. Legacy Treatment Services operates multiple programs that aim to achieve family reunification whenever possible through therapy, case management and parent education. Services include therapeutic foster care placements throughout New Jersey, residential programs in nine counties for youth and a Mercer County community-based reunification program.
Therapeutic Foster Care
The Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) program is a community-based residential treatment program for youth who are unable to live with family due to issues of trauma.
Safe, stable homes are provided by community residents with services and supports provided by Legacy Treatment Services. These include therapy, psychiatric services, family involvement, after-school programming and 24-hour emergency assistance.
Referrals to this program are only accepted from the statewide case management agency. For more information, please contact the program office below:
