Welcome to The Woods Schools
The Woods Schools, part of the Woods System of Care, serves school-aged students with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and social, behavioral, and emotional challenges by providing educational experiences aimed at helping every student succeed.
The Woods Schools have locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Our year-round special education program is fully licensed by the Pennsylvania or New Jersey Department of Education as both Private Licensed School and an Approved Private School.
The Gardner and Crestwood Schools are operated by Woods Services in Langhorne, P.A.; the Mary A. Dobbins School is located in Mount Holly, N.J., and is operated by Legacy Treatment Services; and the Archway Lower School in Atco, N.J., Archway Upper School in Evesham, N.J., and the Coopers Poynt School in Camden, N.J. are operated by Archway Programs.
Our schools offer customized learning experiences for students with behavioral challenges, mental health trauma, or substance abuse diagnoses. The Woods Schools teach students how to develop social, emotional, and behavioral competencies while supporting their academic growth and mental health needs. As an educational community, we focus on creating a safe and predictable environment that promotes a student’s interpersonal growth. We strive to work with our staff, families, and students to create a sense of belonging and a culture of respect. The Woods Schools’ mission is to help students thrive with an educational team that provides evidence-based curricula and behavioral support to our students. We are committed to the optimal development of every student and believe in creating a positive and safe environment throughout all school settings.

12-Month Special Programming
- With our 12-month special programming, we offer unlimited achievement and preparation for life by providing a variety of programs:

- Social-emotional supports
- Classroom-integrated technology
- Job coaching
- Reading specialists and/or interventions
- IEP management and development
Collectively, our individualized programs are designed to help students successfully transition back to their school and prepare for the transition to life after graduation.
The Faculty
Our dedicated staff consists of certified teachers; paraprofessionals; occupational, physical, and speech therapists; social workers; behaviorists; and a school nurse who all work collaboratively to meet the educational, emotional, behavioral, and medical needs of our students.
